Why Unplanned Pregnancies Ought To Be Avoided Unless You Are Prepared To Say Adopt My Baby

By Nannie D. Reilly

Unplanned pregnancies may result in a new precious life coming into the world, but that doesn't change that they can be terribly risky. In fact, there are a number of reasons for immediate concern once you learn that you are unexpectedly expecting, from being financial unprepared to major health risks for the fetus and yourself. The following are just some of the risks related to becoming pregnant and having no knowledge of the conception, such as having to mutter the phrase adopt my baby.

Of course, the top concern should be for the infant's health and whether or not they are developing normally, which is very questionable when you have not had time to condition yourself to carry a child. The early weeks of development are some of the most crucial for your child's neurological functioning. A woman whose body is not prepared for a growing child can have some very adverse effects on a young fetus.

The baby has to have a particular group of nutrients to help them develop into healthy little people. A mother that is unaware that she even has a fetus developing within her may neglect to get those nutrients. On the other hand, a mother who intended to become pregnant could take extra supplements to ensure that the baby gets more than enough to be healthy.

Sometimes, what your body is lacking may not be the problem at all; sometimes, the problem may have to do with what your body is taking in that it shouldn't. An unsuspecting mother might be pregnant for weeks while drinking alcoholic beverages, smoking cigarettes, and taking prescription medications that can cause birth defects. All of these things can have incredibly detrimental effects on your child, and as long as you are unaware of your pregnancy, you will not know to stop using them.

Of course, financial readiness is a very important thing when it comes to raising children, because a lack of a decent income can lead to both mother and child missing out on some of life's necessities. One of the most frightening things for a lot of mothers is to become pregnant and have no idea of how they will financially support the baby for the next eighteen years or more.

The truth of the matter is that unplanned pregnancies can be very bad for both mother and baby, so it is important for women to take better precautions when they are being sexually active. Avoid an unexpected pregnancy if you want to avoid phrases such as adopt my baby, or even more devastating, please, save my baby.
