Labor Signs and Symptoms to be Aware Of

Will you know if you're in labor?

Not all expectant moms feel the same way during the time of their labor. Each mom-to-be feels a different experience. Though there are just a few kinds of labor, for each woman, experiencing labor is bound to be unique.

1) Here's a popular, early sign of labor that is described as; that sudden spark of energy, otherwise known as - nesting instinct.

2) Most anticipating mothers, particularly those first time moms, can describe this experience like it's as if the baby fell. The truth is, the child's head has attached itself to the pelvis of the mother, hence, it only became lower almost ready to be introduced to the world.

Aside from this experience, the mother also tends to feel hungry often, breathing has been relieved and due to the pressure on her bladder, there's a frequent urge to pee.

3) One of the most common signs and symptoms that labor is here are flu-like discomforts, sensation of diarrhea and/or mild nausea. Plus, don't forget an all-time favorite - lower back pain, similar to having menstrual cramps. And of course, intensifying contractions (painful or not).

4) One very telling symptom that labor is forthcoming is when you see some remnants of mucus left on the toilet paper upon using the restroom, which is then followed with more blood-tainted mucus. Bear in mind that blood "spots" might be more evident as labor is coming; this is caused by broken tiny capillaries in your cervix because of expansion.
